Plastic Expanded Polystyrene Foam (EPS) panels may have a curve 6”, 8”, 10” and 11.5” (15, 20, 25 and 29 cm.) and 2 ft (60 cm.) wide in their lowest part, up to 0.40 ft (12 cm.) long. EPS panels match in side edges. Each module of NOVIDESA’s Isolated Slab Panels has, in its internal part, two galvanized steel roll “C” conduits, separated by a distance of 1 ft (30 cm.) The particular form of the modules and the configuration generated when interconnected provide the space to form beams integrated to the compression layer of the system so type "T" cross pieces are conformed. EPS panels are made by the continuous expansion of polystyrene pearls in molds. Panels have a nominal density of 1.25 PCF (20 Kg/m3). The “C” conduits are 5.12 in. (13 cm.) in height and are located within the panels with the objective of serving as support of the system to receive the load of concrete when set, besides working as support for the layer of finish required by the lower part. They also have cavities for the installation of wirings.
